Eat protein. For lunch eat a protein such as a skinless chicken breast, turkey or other low fat meat. You can also have low fat or no fat cottage cheese. Avoid eating any carbohydrates for lunch.

Eat carbohydrates. Dinner should be all carbohydrates such as salads with green vegetables and tomatoes, etc. A couple of slices of 12 grain bread or bran muffins. Also low sugar fruits can be eaten at this meal.

Remember to eat dairy. If you must snack, yogurts are a good choice. Chose low fat yogurt or frozen yogurt. Avoid the fruit added yogurt as it usually has lots of sugar in it. Add your own fresh low sugar fruit to it if you like or eat the fruit without the yogurt.

Eat your main meal early in the day. Avoid lots of carbohydrates and keep your meals light toward the evening.

Try to include some of the 6 food groups in your meals each day so that each days food intake covers your entire daily needs.

Get enough sleep regularly and reduce your stress.

Share the workload and ask for help if you need it. If you do not do this, your metabolism will slow down and hormonal imbalance can occur that weakens the immune system.
